My name is Itai Shiftan, a graduate of the Department of Jewelry and Fashion at the Bezalel Academy of Arts. I am a designer and artist, working with garments and textiles through the relationship between material, structure, body, and space.

This work presents a series of garment-sculptures suspended from the building’s walls and beams.

You are invited to move around and through them, to step inside, and to feel the weight and texture of the textile on your body.

These garment-sculptures exist in an in-between state, hovering in space. They are not presented as “fashion items” or familiar images from everyday life; instead they are reduced to their most basic elements: material and structure. In this distilled form, they invite us to reconsider our relationship with clothing as objects that accompany us at every moment, embracing us and shaping the very way we move through the world.
